MEET OUR DOCTORS

Our personnel consists of six Veterinarians - three specialists,
three general practice doctors, and a full technical staff.
Diplomate American College of Veterinary Surgeons
Dr. Julie Lucas is a 1992 graduate of Colorado State University. She completed a 1-year internship at the Illinois Equine Hospital and Clinic. Dr. Lucas pursued her surgical interests by completion of a 3-year surgical residency at the University of Pennsylvania's New Bolton Center. Dr. Lucas is Board certified in equine surgery and was in private practice for 5 years in Illinois. Her interests includes lameness evaluation of all breeds, including gaited horses, soft tissue surgery, anthroscopy, and shock wave therapy.

Dr. Jeff Alldredge is a 1999 graduate of Colorado State University. After graduation he completed a 1-year internship at Arizona Equine Medical and Surgical Center in Gilbert, Arizona, followed by a 3-year surgical residency and master's degree program at Colorado State University. His interest includes lameness, particularly western performance horses, arthroscopic, and laparoscopic surgery.

Dr. Ashley Alward is a 2001 graduate of Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed a 1 year internship in large animal medicine and surgery at Washington State University, followed by a 3 year residency in equine internal medicine at North Carolina State University. Her interests include all aspects of internal medicine, neonatology, cardiology, sports medicine, and diagnostic imaging.

MEET OUR INTERNS
 

Dr. Keri Thomas is a 2011 graduate of Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She is from Sterling, North Dakota where she grew up on a farm and ranch. She earned a B.A. in Biology with a chemistry minor from Valley City State University in Valley City, North Dakota while playing varsity basketball and softball. She also earned a degree in veterinary technology while living in Denver, Colorado. Some of her veterinary interests include large animal surgery, working horse lameness, and equine podiatry. She has aspirations of entering a surgical residency upon completion of her internship. Her personal interests include a variety of sports, outdoor adventures with her dog Jake, relaxing with a good book, and enjoying time with her family and friends.

Dr. Kerry Rapacz is a 2011 graduate of Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She grew up right here in Phoenix, AZ. She attended Northern Arizona University and received her Bachelors degree in Zoology with a minor in chemistry. Her veterinary interests include lameness, field surgery, anesthesia, and various aspects of medicine including colic and neonatal medicine. She would like to continue on as an equine ambulatory practitioner upon completion of her internship. In her free time she enjoys running and hiking with her dogs, horseback ridding, snowboarding, and capoeira.
